Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Enginuity: Journal of Engineering Science and Technology undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of the published work.
1. Initial Screening
Upon submission, the editorial office conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript’s adherence to the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors without peer review.
2. Double-Blind Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:
-
Originality and contribution to the field
-
Scientific rigor and methodology
-
Clarity of presentation and structure
-
Relevance to the journal’s scope
-
Appropriateness of references and citations
3. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:
-
Accept
-
Minor revision
-
Major revision
-
Reject
Authors are notified of the editorial decision along with anonymized reviewer comments. In the case of revisions, authors are expected to submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response to the reviewers’ comments.
4. Final Decision and Publication
The revised manuscript may undergo a second round of review (particularly for major revisions) before a final decision is made. Once accepted, the manuscript proceeds to copyediting, typesetting, and publication in the upcoming issue.
